Le cinéma est un haut artifice qui vise à construire des réalités alternatives à la vraie vie, qui ne fournit que la matière première.
The Association Générale des Etudiants du Poly organizes since at least 1986 a Ciné-club at EPFL. In June 2006, the Ciné-club became a commission of AGEPoly, with an independent committee chaired by Nicolas Pavillon.
In September 2010, the Ciné-clubs of both the University of Lausanne and the EPFL decided to organize and jointly promote their events, led by the two presidents of the time, Luca Da Pare and David Perrenoud. Indeed, since 2003, the competition of short films Haut & Court had been already organized by the two film clubs, first at Satellite, then at the theatre La Grange de Dorigny.
The Ciné-clubs UNIL-EPFL aim at contributing to the animation of both the university campuses, by proposing a varied program of events focused on the promotion of the culture of cinema in all its forms.
